Yep- twas me who trashed the screw! Bummer at the time, but now I have a replacement screw made of steel (not brass) that I can fiddle with till the cows come home.... (an American expression that probably has some of you guys from the other side of the pond scratchin' your heads.....).
If she's running fine, don't mess with her! Of course, you were surprised by the power change made by the muffler, so the carb might be worth it....
I haven't heard or riden a "trapp" modified bike, but my Dyna muffler made a huge difference in both sound and power, cost a lot less, and (in my opinion) has a better look to it. By the way, I cut some header pipe off too!
